The Jazan IGCC is the world's largest IGCC and ASU facility producing 2100 MMSCFD syngas, 18,000 MT/Day Oxygen and 4 Gigawatts of power. Facilities and assets include residue gasification, acid gas clean up (Rectisol), soot ash recovery, Sulphur recovery (Claus & Scot), combined cycle power plants, materials handling systems, hydrogen recovery, air separation, water utilities systems and wastewater treatment facilities.The Role: Quantity SurveyorPosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring efficient project delivery while adhering to industry standards and contractual obligations.Responsibilities:Prepare and manage detailed bills of quantities (BoQ) for diverse project phases, meticulously evaluating costs related to materials, labor, and equipment.Conduct comprehensive cost estimations, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial feasibility.Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and contractors to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Monitor project expenditures and variations, generating accurate and timely cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.Identify, evaluate, and manage potential risks associated with project costs, proposing proactive strategies for risk mitigation when necessary.Review project specifications, drawings, and contractual documents to ensure precise cost planning and adherence to budgetary guidelines.Provide support in resolving commercial disputes, claims, and variations in line with contractual agreements and industry best practices.Uphold compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety protocols to maintain project integrity and legal adherence.Candidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in the oil and gas sector.Proficiency in relevant software for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and project management (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera).Strong knowledge of construction materials, project costing, and procurement processes.Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings.Solid understanding of contracts and risk management principles.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse project stakeholders.Certification or membership in relevant professional bodies is advantageous.
