- Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Enhancing the current sales effort by providing administrative support to the department
- Generating leads and assisting in converting to sales, consistently making cold calls
- Pursuing new accounts every week, spending minimal time in the office
- Maintaining consistent verbal and written communication with clients
- Making onsite and field presentations to prospective clients, attending trade shows, and participating in sales blitzes
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Attending all required briefings/meetings as required by the DOS/GM
- Collecting and analyzing relevant information for better results
- Working effectively with Rooms, Recreation, F&B, and Banquet departments
- Participating in the local community to develop business
- Demonstrating clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Instilling a calm, organized approach in all situations
- Demonstrating team-building experience
- Evaluating alternatives and deciding on a plan of action
- Adhering to company standards and policies
- Analyzing financial information to assist in decision-making
- Preparing a sales action plan and implementing it per the due dates specified
- Ensuring pro-activeness in planning, executing sales, and action plans
- Being flexible with varying schedules and hours as required by the business needs of the hotel
- Performing additional duties as assigned by superiors
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
- At least one (1) year of industry sales experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in English and Arabic
