Grade Level: L3/L4 Location: Islamabad Last date to apply: 20th Dec, 2024 What does 'Stream Head/Head - Management Reporting & BI' do?
  • Direct responsibility for the collation and data integrity checking of the financial information that feeds the VEON Group consolidated financial results managerial structure.
  • Responsible for the analysis, recommendations and corrective actions with subsequent PowerPoint presentation preparation regarding consolidated financial results, to enable C-suite discussions and meetings (e.g: GEC deck for actuals, IR materials, ad-hoc requests).
  • Drive management reporting process and effectively manage stakeholders, including Investors Relations, Technology, Strategy, External Reporting, Tax and Treasury as well as HQ Admin and FP&A planning.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to substantiate the conclusions drawn by Director Planning & Forecasting and above levels.
  • Translate GCFO requests for deep dive analyses into action by building robust variance analysis files with advanced Microsoft Office toolkit expertise (Excel, PowerPoint, Thinkcell).
  • Act as main advisor and enabler to Business Systems upgrades or enhancements by actively contributing with professional expertise regarding the mix of accounting, financial analysis and Oracle Hyperion Planning expertise.
  • Responsible end-to-end for performance management quarterly reporting for external results announcement and liaison with the financial auditors.
  • Responsible for critically assessing the high-level accuracy of consolidated actuals and proficiently bridging between Opco specific knowledge and Group to independently use helicopter view in the best interest of Group.
Requirements
  • Advanced analytical mind and financial modeling skills combined with IFRS knowledge to make judgment calls on the numbers and recommend trade-off decisions to Director Planning and Forecasting.
  • High level of assertiveness to evaluate trade-off decisions and connect different dots of information bridging local FP&A views to Group Finance course of action.
  • Proactivity to go the extra mile and curiosity to investigate and prepare ad-hoc analysis out of the box and out of the routine toolkit to substantiate management conclusions.
  • Emotional intelligence to understand, manage and adapt to change.
  • Proficiency in managing complexity.
  • Achiever, passionate for results, driven.
  • Demonstrating speed in delivery and quick turnaround of translating management requests into action.
  • Open-minded, demonstrating courage and confidence to speak up and interact with C-1 and C level executive suite together with Finance Director Planning.
  • Good communication skills to convey the message upstream and downstream, tailoring it to the seniority of the audience whilst considering its background (finance for non-finance) and delivering it cross-functionally and cross-culturally (ability to work in a highly diverse cultural environment).
Education and experience
  • Undergraduate Finance/Economics or Science studies background.
  • Postgraduate CA/ACA/CPA/ACCA.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Reporting.
  • 3 years of relevant financial reporting experience in Telecom industry preferable.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with senior management in an Operating Company or Group Structure.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in working with planning systems, Oracle Hyperion toolkit, including ad hoc Smartview retrieves functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex functionalities of Microsoft Office Toolkit.
