In this specific role, you will provide day-to-day operation support with readily available advice on processes and activities to effectively manage operations, track and trace, customer feedback, and general inquiries in line with business needs, stakeholder requirements, group guidelines, and policies. - During this internship, you will be learning from our senior experts. Your daily job scope consists of different areas within the department of Road Freight.
- You will interface and work with Country Carrier contacts to resolve operational issues.
- You will escalate to Procurement as necessary.
- You will accept all orders (from customers or overseas offices) and process them for handover to Operations.
- You will proactively inform customers on shipment status, exceptions, and provide intermediate updates on incident solutions.
- You will handle customer inquiries, e.g., Track and Trace.
- You will process customer feedback and ask for Customer Service-related feedback (e.g., follow-up on complaint handling).
- You will collaborate with Operations and other departments for smooth handling of shipments and continuous updates.
- You will coordinate between all applicable parties for all air export/import/courier shipments for our customers; ensuring timely bookings with suppliers.
- You will communicate regularly with customers regarding their shipment status and maintain continuous communication with overseas to meet delivery commitments; follow up with airlines to monitor and track departure and arrival information and updates.
- Diploma and/or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, and/or Business Studies with a minor in logistics and supply chain.
- It will be an added advantage if you have previous experience dealing with customers.
- Being able to write and speak professionally in English.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Can-do attitude, hard-working, and enthusiastic.
- Good administrative skills, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team environment.
