Our modern, multi-modality clinics are expanding, and we're actively seeking a skilled and registered full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Team Lead (Ultrasound Technologist Team Lead) to join our Marlborough team.As the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Team Lead for our Marlborough clinic, you will empower ultrasound technologists to ensure smooth workflow, quality patient care, and adherence to protocols. Your role will involve providing guidance, training, and support to team members while fostering collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals across departments.With a history of success in inspiring, mentoring, and leading teams, you'll bring invaluable experience to this role. Your strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will be essential for informed decision-making and exceptional patient care.What You'll Be DoingLead and mentor the Marlborough clinic ultrasound team, offering guidance, support, and feedback, while fostering a positive work environment.Effectively oversee workflow management, handling scheduling and managing time-off requests (vacation, sick, personal leaves), reviewing and approving timesheets (including overtime requests), and organizing commission cases and payouts.Support recruitment efforts, help to facilitate onboarding processes, contribute to training initiatives for new team members and practicum students, and spearhead continuous education and development programs to elevate the skills and knowledge of the ultrasound team.Implement and oversee performance management strategies, including goal setting, regular performance evaluations, and recognition programs.Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure compliance with safety standards, while also managing the ordering and maintenance of supplies to support smooth clinic operations.Ensure accurate and efficient execution of ultrasound procedures in alignment with established protocols and relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and documentation requirements.Identify and implement process improvements to optimize quality and efficiency, upholding standards of patient care and safety.Participate in the accreditation process, including committee meetings.Act as a departmental bridge between Radiologists, Clinic Administration, X-Ray Technologists, and other departments, fostering collaborative relationships to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and enhance clinic efficiency.Develop proficiency in an advanced specialty skillset to support specialist clinics effectively.Adapt to additional responsibilities and emerging tasks as needed.What We're Looking ForA bachelor's degree or diploma in diagnostic medical sonography or a related field.
