Senior Data Engineer- Remote - Full Time - UK Timezone

Role : Senior Data Engineer Exp : 5+ years in Data Engineering Joining Time : Immediate - 2 weeks *Please apply only if you can join us immediately / within 15 days Job description Role Expectation: As Senior Data Engineer, you will be working on an engine that ingest real-time events and sends millions of AI-personalized recommendations daily. The system features tight integrations with dozens of ESPs and services some of the largest retailers in the world. You will be expected to have a full understanding of how data flows throughout our entire platform from stream processing to models to databases to REST APIs. Responsibilities: ●Work closely with the Product team to deliver high-quality features and code. ● Enforce strong coding best practices, guidelines, and standards. ● Ensure that all code is clearly tested end-to-end. ● Work comfortably across multiple levels of the development and infrastructure stack, solving issues at all levels with good code modularity and reuse. l Resourcing Needs: ● Senior Data Engineering experience (5+ years)● Demonstrated expertise (3+ years) in SQL, Spark, and Lake houses ● Must be able to work independently with minimal direction ● Must be able to quickly learn our systems without hand holding ● Must be able to unblock themselves or call out when help is needed ● Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing technical challenges. Bonus Skills: ● Understanding of stream processing, RESTful APIs, and microservices ● Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing ● Understanding of cloud computing, containers, CI/CD, deployments ● Has worked in the Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc)● Good understanding of operational issues, load balancing, cost, performance Industry
