The Civil Inspector will support the supervision and execution of civil engineering works on the Sewer Scheme Supervision Project in Bahrain. This role requires a skilled inspector with hands-on experience in the construction of sewer systems and related infrastructure. The Civil Technician will work closely with Senior Civil Engineers to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications and standards.

  • Assist in the supervision of civil engineering works, including the construction of sewer networks, manholes, and pumping stations. Ensure that all activities are carried out according to the approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor the quality of work and materials. Report any deviations from project specifications to the Senior Civil Engineer and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of construction activities, including measurements, progress reports, and daily logs. Assist in the preparation of site reports, including photographs and technical data.
  • Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and resources. Coordinate with the engineering team to resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations. Participate in regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical support to Senior Civil Engineers, including the review of shop drawings, preparation of material lists, and supervision of labor resources on-site.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 07 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on sewer systems and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the GCC region, with local experience in Bahrain being an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and resource planning within an engineering consultancy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
