Roles and Responsibilities
This position delivers the dining experience by providing information to help food and beverage selection, presenting ordered choices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.- Understand and adhere to all company standards, including mission statements, values, and standard operating procedures.
- Display an open body posture and a cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Comply with company grooming standards and dress codes at all times.
- Represent and promote Farah Experiences positively to maintain a professional brand image.
- Help achieve department and company objectives, action plans, and key performance indicators.
- Enforce and adhere to all UAE laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and company regulations, reporting any safety concerns to management.
- Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests.
- Adhere to all emergency procedures, ensuring guest safety and participating in drills and evacuations as necessary.
- Greet guests as they arrive according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
- Answer questions regarding the menu and make suggestions regarding food choices.
- Upsell drinks and side orders that complement main dishes.
- Relay food orders to the kitchen and serve courses in sequence as specified.
- Conduct all restaurant opening and closing procedures according to standard operating procedures.
- Utilize correct serving techniques for all types of food and beverages.
- Introduce the waiter/waitress to guests when designated as the host.
- Handle guest complaints courteously and efficiently according to company policy.
- Service tables in the restaurant area, ensuring a clean environment.
- Be knowledgeable of all products sold in F&B outlets to promote and up-sell effectively.
- Ensure condiment stands are stocked and replenished as required.
- Clean equipment and dispensers according to outlet checklists.
- Sweep/mop floors as required by standard operating procedures.
- Collect stock from the warehouse and deliver it to the outlet as required.
- Interact with guests to encourage them to view the restaurant menu and promotions.
- Seat guests and provide them with a menu and service information.
- Manage the waiting list should the restaurant become full.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company rules and HACCP procedures.
- Attend and pass all legally required food safety courses.
- Manage lost & found items according to company policy.
- Uphold integrity by adhering to proper cash handling and POS procedures.
- Be fully aware of all products and services sold to promote and up-sell effectively.
- Operate cash register (POS System) according to standard operating procedures.
- Keep the register area neat and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Be responsible for the cash float throughout your shift and ensure it balances correctly.
- Remit daily sales to cash control as set out in standard operating procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Adhere to the company’s overage & shortage policy.
- Use machinery and equipment according to received training and instructions.
- Assist in other areas of the outlet as needed.
- Participate fully in all training and assessment projects held by the food and beverage department.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year food and beverage experience
- Customer service skills
- Attention to detail

- Broad food and beverage knowledge
- Desire to listen, learn, and follow instructions
- Bachelor's Degree / Higher Diploma
- Essential Food Safety Training
- 1 year experience as a waiter/waitress in a 4* Hotel
- Minimum 2 years food and beverage experience
- Banquet trained
- Bilingual (preferably Arabic)
