Chief Financial Strategist

We are seeking a Chief Financial Strategist to oversee the financial aspects of our business in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This role requires a senior manager with expertise in financial planning and reporting, as well as experience in managing risk, ensuring compliance, and analyzing financial data.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing account records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, and monitoring expenditure. Key responsibilities include:

• General Ledger and consolidation Non-trade Accounts Payable recording (Payable credit side)
• CAPEX recording and related depreciation and amortization
• Recording all expenses operational, marketing, HR, G&A and all expenses by cost center
• General accounts and all other debit and credit balances
• Treasury and bank reconciliation
• Taxation Liaison with auditors and tax consultants
• Statutory financial reporting, and tax returns
• Acquiring cycle daily and monthly closing across all related accounts, schemes and partner banks

This is a senior management position within an organization audited by one of the Big 4 accounting firms, requiring a minimum of 15+ years of accounting experience and a solid track record in a previous controller position. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a multi-country finance department and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
