By focusing on our values and culture, we make Expeditors' greatest competitive advantage in global supply chain services.Job DescriptionMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure a smooth and timely process flow regarding the Export Customs department.Accurate and timely data entry into the operational system.Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority.Interact with customs inspections or present and clarify documents to authorities when requested.Act as the liaison between the customs authorities (or other government agencies) and customers.Ensure timely customs clearance of cargo to customers.Verify documents received for Export customs purposes are compliant and correct.Be interactive and proactive with our customers regarding arranging their freight/shipments by meeting their requirements and service standards.Maintain good understanding, communication, and relationships with our customers, airlines, trucking companies, and others.Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations/standards according to government regulations.Fully understand the export process flow and proactively seek best practices to improve operational processes.Meet KPI standards as per the company's procedures/customs requirements.Respond timely to emails from customers, suppliers, carriers, and our internal network.Recognize possible risks for both our customers and Expeditors.Involve management accordingly in case of any escalations.QualificationsWhat is required from you?You're a flexible and hard worker, no 9-5 mentality.Open to work during the evening shift, weekend shift, and on National Holidays.Be a team player with the ability to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate to obtain positive results.Proactive with strong organizational skills.Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).IATA and/or ADR DG Certification is preferred, not mandatory.Ability to write and speak in English.Additional InformationWhat do we offer?To be part of a professional, international, open, enthusiastic team and environment.Own personalized development plan with a diversity of training methods.Career opportunities/path within the company (local, regional, and globally).25 days of annual leave on a full-time basis.Opportunity to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Application:If you are interested in this position and you feel comfortable with the requirements, please email your CV with a motivation letter to: Madhevi.sardjoe@expeditors.comOnly local applicants will be considered.
