Join our roading team in Stratford as a Specialist Patrolman. In this varied role you will primarily be responsible for minor roading maintenance and repairs on the Stratford District roading network. Your day-to-day will include routine inspections and minor maintenance repairs on the road. These include potholes, edge breaks, sweeping, marker pegs, roadside rubbish, road signs, culvert cleaning and emergency response. In addition to the above you will:- Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself.
- Operate vehicles and other equipment, including general maintenance to best practice.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and contract requirements.

- WTR Endorsements preferred but not essential.
- Building and/or handyman experience and skills.
- Previous pavement and traffic services maintenance experience advantageous.
- Experience within road maintenance essential.
- Experience driving heavy vehicles on narrow rural roads.
- Possess the ability to work independently.
- Sound computer knowledge, with data entry ability.
- Extremely safety conscious and detail oriented.
- Comfortable working independently and safely in a rural environment.
- Good level of physical fitness.
