Job Summary The Head, CRES, Singapore Cluster will be accountable for managing SC Bank’s real estate, including health and safety, security, and sustainability aspects. The role will drive the end-to-end strategic approach to the country’s CRES portfolio, impacting every member of the Bank staff worldwide. This role is also accountable for all projects related to properties; security, health & safety, sustainability; and supply partner management, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers. The Head, CRES, Singapore Cluster will develop and execute a cost-effective and sustainable real estate, workplace, and sustainability strategy that can be leveraged across the bank’s global footprint of owned and leased corporate offices, branches, data centres, cash vaults, BCP sites, and ATMs. The role involves working with Business Divisions/Functions to understand demand and execute value-added and cost-effective real estate transactions. This leader will partner with large-scale vendors and engage with senior leadership to effectively meet Standard Chartered’s corporate real estate requirements. Responsibilities Strategy Accountable for developing and executing the Head, CRES, Singapore Cluster Corporate Plan, including the delivery of the CRES scorecard objectives aligned with strategic goals. Drive Net Zero footprint across the real estate portfolio and enable partners and teams to deliver daily services. Develop and deliver the Singapore Cluster CRES strategy, influencing key stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions are implemented. Effectively communicate the vision and strategy to ensure understanding among Supply Partner Teams. Business Ensure all aspects of the CRES function are well managed to provide a safe and productive work environment. Manage a portfolio of 23 Offices and 38 branches, supporting SCB staff across SG cluster markets. Manage a cluster operating budget of more than $112m effectively in support of the business strategy. Processes Ensure all aspects of the CRES function are well managed and provide a productive and safe environment. Drive optimization of the workplace through CRES groups of Asset Management, Project Management, Safety & Security, and Facilities Management. Ensure appropriate levels of security across business functions to protect staff, customers, and assets. Accountable for CRES resourcing and budget decisions. Lead and empower teams to meet agreed environmental targets. People & Talent Lead, inspire, and motivate the CRES team to achieve their potential and deliver the collective agenda. Ensure ongoing training and development of people and that critical roles are suitably skilled and qualified. Employ, engage, and retain high-quality individuals, with succession planning for critical roles. Risk Management Responsibilities Be the risk control owner for all CRES-related risks, including Health and Safety, Security, and Business Continuity Management. Monitor compliance with the risk control environment and ensure operations are audit-ready. Other Responsibilities Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore Cluster, CRES; perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies. Our Ideal Candidate Education 12+ years of Corporate Real Estate experience in a senior position. Previous experience heading a corporate real estate portfolio in a large organization. Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Facilities management, engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Membership Corenet (optional), RICS (optional).
