What We’re Looking For The GCP Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing the organization's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and security practices. This role emphasizes designing, implementing, and managing scalable, reliable, and secure GCP-based systems, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls across GCP environments.
• Optimize and secure GCP networking components, including firewalls, VPNs, and VPCs.
• Ensure the security of GCP workloads, utilizing tools such as GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Terraform, and Ansible.
• Monitor and maintain IAM policies, service accounts, and role configurations within GCP.
• Lead SOC operations, including incident response, threat detection, and mitigation using GCP-native and third-party SIEM platforms.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments on GCP systems and implement mitigations.
• Automate operational workflows using Bash, Python, or Cloud Shell scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce robust cloud security and compliance practices.
• Proactively monitor GCP environments for threats and respond promptly to incidents.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on GCP.
• Hands-on expertise in GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking.
• Proficiency in securing GCP resources, configuring firewalls, VPNs, and managing VPCs.
• Experience securing containerized environments with tools such as GKE, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of SOC operations, including incident response, threat detection, and SIEM platforms like Chronicle Security or Splunk.
• Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Cloud Shell for task automation.
• In-depth understanding of GCP security best practices, IAM configurations, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience working in multi-cloud environments with a focus on hybrid architectures.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR in the context of GCP.
• Knowledge of advanced monitoring tools and techniques, including GCP-native solutions like Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
