Technical Strategy & Transformation Department has an exciting opportunity for Senior Business Specialist that will be based here in Doha, Qatar. As a Senior Business Specialist, you are responsible for the delivery and steering of the Technical Strategy in the businesses of the assigned portfolio, focusing on the Divisions Deliver Sustainable Program (DSP). An individual key contributor to support Senior Manager MRO Strategy to monitor and analyze business performance, focusing on structural and tactical initiatives. Establishes operational ways of working and data structures to develop a rhythm and routine that embeds continuous improvement using internal and external data sources. Operational Accountabilities:

  1. Monitor and track strategic targets of DSP projects to deliver improved business efficiency, reduce cost and increase revenue for the assigned portfolio.
  2. Drive focus on key areas of performance improvement/opportunity by communicating with respective business teams, providing financial/operational/market analytical insights on performance and trends through insightful and modern visualization.
  3. Act as an advocate and ambassador between Finance, Strategy, and all external stakeholders to the business.
  4. Communicate effectively on risks and assist establishment of mitigating plans on DSP programs and other strategic projects, in order to meet Technical strategy objectives and deliverables.
  5. Work across end-to-end processes to monitor, track, identify and drive middle/large opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality, in support of the Divisions DSP.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) between operations, finance, strategy, and all other key stakeholders, to optimize outcomes by addressing operational performance trends and improvement opportunities, and concerns.
  7. Development of management reporting tools and timetables to facilitate communication with stakeholders and clear data-led evaluation of Technical projects success.
  8. Support the wider development of process improvement capability by offering coaching to the members of the assigned portfolio.
  9. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 7 years job-related experience if you have Highschool/Vocational or Diploma qualification or 6 years job-related experience if you have a bachelor's degree or higher.
  2. PC literate with knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook, Tableau, PowerBI.
  3. Work experience in managing (processing and analyzing) voluminous data.
  4. Experience in delivering insights from data and submitting actionable recommendations to management.
  5. Experience in preparing and giving presentations on business performance to middle and senior management.
  6. Experienced in developing complex modeling and simulation.
  7. Knowledge of process improvement & process re-engineering techniques.
  8. High competency in Financial and/or Procurement Process and data structure awareness.
  9. Ability to collaborate and influence colleagues and senior executives in line with designed frameworks and strategic concepts.
  10. Systematic and logical approach to problem-solving and a capability of working around problems.
  11. Confidence to engage and lead service relationships and to cross-functionally represent finance and shared services.
