Job Description

  1. Monitoring and coordinating with all stakeholders during and after the design stage to ensure design correctness, completeness, and scope compliance in the required time.
  2. Maintaining records of Design Consultant(s) submittals and controlling the submittals/correspondence received in a timely manner.
  3. Evaluating and endorsing the variation orders/concession requests submitted by the Design Consultant(s) for client's approval.
  4. Reviewing and commenting on all drawings and documents submitted by Design Consultant(s) and ensuring the incorporation of all revisions on all documents.
  5. Preparing all the required technical transmittals/documents (shop drawings, proposals, RFIs, etc.).
  6. Facilitating meetings with Design Consultant(s), Sub-consultants, and clients to review design documents and make decisions as required.
  7. Proposing alternative materials/systems to improve design operation and construction costs through value engineering workshops.
  8. Setting up a discipline design team onsite with the help of the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
  9. Managing and controlling the team to ensure appropriate monitoring of the work of Design Consultants and Contractors in the construction stage.
  10. Carrying out goal setting and appraisals for team members.
  11. Conducting skills development and awareness workshops for the team as needed.
  12. Ensuring timely and accurate documentation, filing of design documents, and reporting to appropriate stakeholders.
  13. Coordinating closely with the Consultant to get all drawings reviewed and approved.
  14. Communicating all relevant (technical/non-technical) information in the organization on a real-time basis.
  15. Synergizing with the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world-class standards of quality.
  16. Maintaining client liaison throughout the project to ensure client satisfaction with design work progress.
  17. Advising clients on design issues and remedial actions in case of deviations.
  18. Establishing professional relationships with peer professionals in the industry.
  19. Meeting clients to obtain feedback on design work on site and making appropriate improvements.
  20. Maintaining awareness of industry trends, methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices in project management in relation to design engineering.
  21. Adapting and adopting good practices for continuous improvement.
Skills • 12+ years’ experience required • Ready to join immediately • Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering • UPDA Certified with Grade A #J-18808-Ljbffr
