IT literate.Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Experience in working in a multicultural environment.Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy - Les Roches is hiring a Head of Research and Innovation.The Head of Research and Innovation serves as a visionary leader, strategist, and advocate for research and innovation across the entire university. They play a crucial role in shaping the research environment, fostering collaboration, securing resources, and maximizing the impact of research for the benefit of society. They will champion the importance of research and innovation within the university and to external stakeholders, advocating for policies that support research funding and development.Key Responsibilities:Setting the research agenda: Define the overarching research strategy and priorities for the university, aligning them with the institution's mission and vision.Identifying emerging research areas: Proactively scan the horizon for new research trends and opportunities with significant potential impact.Fostering interdisciplinary research: Encourage and facilitate collaborations across different departments and faculties to tackle complex research challenges.Promoting a culture of innovation: Instill an entrepreneurial mindset and support the development of innovative ideas and solutions.Overseeing research facilities: Manage and optimize core research facilities and infrastructure to ensure they meet the needs of researchers.Developing research support services: Establish and enhance support services for researchers, including grant proposal development, ethics review, technology transfer, and intellectual property management.Securing major research grants: Lead efforts to secure large-scale, competitive research grants from national and international funding agencies.Building strategic partnerships: Forge collaborations with industry, government, and other research institutions to leverage resources and maximize research impact.Promoting research commercialization: Support the translation of research discoveries into commercial products, services, or spin-off companies.Enhancing the university's research reputation: Raise the university's research profile nationally and internationally through strategic communication and outreach.Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and research integrity standards across the university. Chair the university ethics committee.
