Urgent requirement for a Senior Vice President - Commercial Banking Relationship Management (Qatarization) to based in Qatar for a major financial institution.Main Responsibilities- Implement strategies and plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Commercial Banking sector.- Drive the growth of new client relationships in the Commercial Banking sector, ensuring sales and profit goals for both assets and liability products are met in line with QNB's corporate objectives.- Foster a culture of cost consciousness and efficiency, enhancing productivity while minimizing waste to optimize benefits for the bank.- Operate within delegated authority, while also delegating responsibilities to staff, ensuring effective oversight and monitoring of their performance.- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers behind the bank's financial and non-financial performance.- Collaborate with QNB Capital, international and regional branches, Retail, Treasury, and other Head Office functions to identify cross-selling opportunities and support business development across the Group.- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional customer service to proactively address their needs and resolve any issues.- Strengthen and develop relationships with existing clients, while also identifying and acquiring new business relationships to expand the bank's market presence.- Provide support to clients in all queries related to the bank's products and seek timely solutions to their requests.- Foster collaboration and maintain strong relationships with internal departments to meet the Group's objectives.- Provide accurate and timely data to auditors, compliance teams, financial control, and risk management when required.- Implement the corporate banking strategy within the function to exceed business objectives and drive growth.- Ensure the Commercial Banking sector operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements and best market practices.- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of Relationship Managers and Officers to maintain high service standards and meet financial and non-financial targets.- Continuously monitor and manage the Commercial Banking sector's credit portfolio, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken when needed, in line with the bank's risk management framework.- Approve credit proposals within the delegated authority, and escalate higher-value proposals to the appropriate decision-making level.- Ensure Relationship Managers manage balanced portfolios and achieve their set targets, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.- Provide technical expertise to Relationship Managers, ensuring their credit proposals meet required risk standards.- Oversee the Commercial Banking sector's database and ensure personnel adhere to sales directives and maintain updated client contact records.- Ensure client visits, meetings, and presentations are systematically conducted by the team, fostering client engagement.- Oversee the collection and safe transfer of necessary facility and account documentation for credit review.- Identify early signs of potential problematic accounts and ensure prompt remedial action is taken to mitigate risks.- Drive cross-selling initiatives within the Commercial Banking sector, collaborating with other corporate banking units, Treasury, Retail, and QNB Capital.- Lead the roll-out of conventional corporate banking products targeted at Commercial Banking sector clients.- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key managers at client organizations, ensuring consistent service and responsiveness to their needs.- Collaborate with Group Communications and the Marketing & Product Management teams to develop targeted marketing strategies for the Commercial Banking sector.- Monitor and report on transaction volumes, budget performance, and client portfolio profitability, providing updates to executive management as required.Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree (Master's preferred) with at least 15 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, particularly within the Commercial Banking sector.- Strong understanding of market structure, industry practices, and regulations pertaining to the Commercial Banking segment, particularly in the Middle East.- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic, including the ability to prepare comprehensive reports.- Strong interpersonal skills, with a solid understanding of risk management principles and practices.- Deep knowledge of Corporate & Institution Banking products, relevant laws, and regulations.- High level of personal integrity, self-motivation, and the ability to manage tasks independently.- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with a strategic mindset.- Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on maintaining long-term client relationships.- Familiarity with the balanced scorecard approach and a results-driven mindset.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all management levels.
