Are you seeking an exciting and challenging opportunity in IT Procurement as the next step in your career? This opportunity will see you join a growing financial services client that is working towards establishing a new group procurement function from its Frankfurt HQ.
You will be leading the IT Procurement Category with a budget of approx €40M per year across mostly Software and IT Services across the European market. You will report to the Group Head of Procurement and have a direct line of contact with several senior executives in IT and other functions to deliver your strategies and commercial plans that will bring long-term value to the organization.
The IT Procurement Manager will have responsibility for:
Owning the IT Procurement category strategy for the region ensuring good process management from demand gathering to contract negotiation and vendor onboarding for a variety of IT spend (Hardware, software, networks, telco) including sourcing, contract management, and bid support.
Managing a high volume of suppliers across multiple IT spend categories totaling more than €40M in annual purchasing budget.
Providing subject matter expertise on IT procurement matters to internal stakeholders at all levels including executive leadership.
Creating rigorous and detailed spend analytics to report on procurement activities and show a clear understanding of the market.
The job of IT Procurement Manager will place you in a strategically important position in the business rather than acting as a support function to the organization. The role will require someone with a big personality and excellent stakeholder management skills to make themselves very visible within the organization and demonstrate their capacity to deliver added value.
