Overview Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Procurement Supervisor to join their team in the chemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the procurement process for all chemical-related products and services. The Procurement Supervisor will communicate and negotiate with vendors, ensure on-time delivery, and manage the company's inventory levels. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of all chemical-related products and services. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and policies to optimize the procurement process. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs, specifications, and requirements. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and pricing agreements. Monitor and review supplier performance, and develop supplier relationship management strategies. Manage the procurement budget to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient utilization of funds. Coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the procurement process. Monitor and maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. Provide guidance and support to the procurement team, promoting professional development and high performance. Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in procurement processes and tools. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in procurement within the chemical industry or a related industry. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and methodologies. Proven experience in vendor management and negotiation. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to utilize data for decision-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement. Leadership and team management capabilities.
