Overview Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to join their manufacturing team in Western Cape, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory management. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure the efficient and timely movement of materials, goods, and services in order to support the manufacturing process and meet customer demands. The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally. Responsibilities: Develop and implement supply chain strategies and initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Manage and supervise all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, planning, production scheduling, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, create production plans, and establish inventory control strategies. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance. Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence. Coordinate the movement of materials, goods, and services between suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and customers. Oversee the transportation and logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of products and materials. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the supply chain process. Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain effectiveness and communicate results to management. Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in supply chain management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of successful supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in supply chain planning techniques, tools, and systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership abilities and experience in cross-functional collaboration and team management. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to adapt to changing business needs, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software. Knowledge of local regulations, customs, and import/export requirements. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with process improvement projects is a plus.
