Position: Sales and Marketing Manager (Full Time, Permanent) Location: Osprey Hotel Osprey Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join the award-winning team.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, as Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business and nurturing existing clients and customers for Osprey Hotel's corporate accommodation, meeting rooms, and conferences. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of sales and events activities to drive revenue and promote the hotels brand. The events team will report into you . You will work closely with PREM Groups Head of sales and marketing for Ireland and the UK and this role involves a strong focus on reactive sales, proactive sales activity , Event co-ordination, networking and local and in house marketing efforts . You will also administer our social media accounts and plan and execute a fully costed marketing plan in conjunction with all departments within the hotel including rooms, leisure club, spa, restaurants, bars, weddings, and leisure functions. You will be responsible for Duties for this role will include:- Carry out a target-driven number of face-to-face sales calls weekly.
- Responsible for account management in particular with corporate and business groups.
- Manage and undertake local, regional, and national activities including trade shows, networking events, workshops, wedding fairs, presentations, etc.
- To review all past bookers and identify potential for future business
- To target and develop new conference business through cold calling, developing contacts and networking
- Target and develop groups for social functions
- To liaise with the other PREM Group sales managers to identify any potential opportunities for cross-selling.
- Maximise revenue and achieve sales targets while managing key accounts
- Conduct site visits with existing and potential customers.
- Carry out competitor research and analyse both locally and regionally
- To actively manage and promote the social media pages for all areas of the business
- Generate, edit publish, and share engaging content daily
- To draft content for all hotel collateral including brochures, flyers, posters etc, in line with brand standards and partnership with PREM Group's central marketing department.
- To review the daily arrivals lists and capture any potential leads for future business
- To work with reservations and revenue management team to review forecasts and take action to drive more business into leisure market segments
- To work with the GM and PREM Group team in compiling the annual marketing budget and the wedding and events budget for the hotel and to work in line with that budget each year.
- You will be responsible for forecasting projected weekly and monthly revenue.
- To build a wedding business within the hotel
- To arrange and host open evenings
- To book attendance at and attend wedding fairs
- To conduct show rounds for potential events including weddings and conferences
- Manage and maintain of all sales databases.
- Previous hotel sales experience is essential
- Experience in selling corporate accommodation, conference and meeting rooms, weddings, events, bar and restaurant
- Good knowledge of hotsoft , excel , canva & salesforce
- Highly motivated and capable of creating and maintaining a large client network.
- Well organised with an eye for detail.
- A natural people person who enjoys establishing and maintaining a network of professional contacts.
- Focused on providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Creative and analytical with the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
- Social media savvy
- Professional in approach and capable of working on their initiative.
- Willing to travel locally and occasionally nationally and abroad to corporate trade events.
- A car owner with a full clean driving license.
