- Ownership and management of business continuity and disaster recovery for Managed Services offerings
- Business impact analysis and risk assessment for AWS/Azure public cloud by Cloud Ops/ SaaS Ops and LOB recovery teams
- Perform Business Impact Assessment (BIA), multi-AZ architecture within an AWS Region or multiple clouds
- Ensure proper maintenance of the plan through regular reviews with teams
- Schedule, coordinate and conduct planned tests, as required
- Perform risk assessment with Axtria LOB teams
- Develop, coordinate and assess recovery requirements and contingency plans
- Develop contingency plans to deal with emergencies
- Analyse impact on and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements
- Create or administer training and awareness presentations or materials
- Contingency Planning - Identify potential business interruptions, develop safeguards against these interruptions, and implement recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption. Documentation and training on contingency planning concepts and procedures.
- Disaster Recovery - Safeguard LOBs & IT by identifying potential problem areas and single points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical data processing operations. Develop and implement disaster recovery, data sensitivity, library management, back-up and recovery, and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Business Recovery - Develop safeguards and Business Recovery Plans and procedures governing the remote business offices and operations associated with the organization.
- Risk Management - Identify and categorize outage exposures that could cause a business interruption, then obtain agreements to safeguard against a disaster event. Responsible for insuring that business and regulatory requirements are adhered to and that implemented recovery procedures and contracts are cost justifiable.
- Continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to remains abreast of the industry trends and updates on information security issues and data privacy topics
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand and communicate technical and as well as compliance requirements
- Strong documentation skills in writing process documents, guidelines, checklists etc.
- Ability to understand and apply DR concepts to both mainframe and distributed environments
- Knowledge and experience in performing assessments aligned with the best practices
- Knowledge of the DRII/BCI BCDR frameworks
- Ability to work independently, effectively manage competing demands and priorities
- Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance as it applies to BCDR planning
- Ability to interact with a variety of internal and external people in a professional manner that creates confidence in his/her knowledge and abilities and helps foster mutually satisfactory resolution to control gaps and issues
- Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and drive tactical execution
- Very good analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly polished public presentation and communication skills required to present to Sr. Management
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed and well organized summaries of risk assessment findings that can be easily understood by stakeholders
- BE / BTech / MCA
- MBA / PGDBA
- 18 - 20 years in managing BCP/DR for large organizations
