Director of Sales and Marketing - Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay BeachLocation: QAProperty Name: Wyndham Grand Doha West BayWyndham Hotels and Resorts is now seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach in Doha, Qatar.Job SummaryThe Director of Sales and Marketing (in conjunction with the Sales Team) conducts all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Achieves key performance objectives.It is not the intent of this job description to cover all aspects of the position but to highlight the most important areas of responsibility.General RequirementsWork with the Area/Outbound Sales Offices and the General Manager to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the Hotel.Assists in the development, implementation and sustaining of aggressive solicitation program focused on increasing business.Work with Executive team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers' needs and the market.Analyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve property's financial room and catering goals.Assist Revenue Management with completing accurate six period projections.Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.Direct and manage the forecasting process in conjunction with the Revenue Department to ensure accurate, timely and complete information.Compile and/or direct the preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing plans, quarterly updates and the annual Budget.Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., OSO, ASO) to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicate.Attend customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with OSO/ASO Managers and customers.Education & ExperienceAt least 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 years of hotel sales experience.Supervisory experience required.Must have a driver's license in the applicable state.Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.Physical RequirementsLong hours sometimes required.Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.What we expect from youYou will play an important part in our mission to make travel possible for all by:Being responsive, respectful and delivering great experiences to our guests, partners and communities.Fostering an inclusive environment where individuals feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and share their diverse perspectives.Bringing your best every day and striving to exceed expectations in all you do.What you can expect from usWith Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, you can expect a fulfilling career to include:Growth opportunities through best-in-class training and career development, leadership training, mentorship opportunities and educational support.Competitive salary and benefits.Team member benefit programs that focus on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle management, physical and emotional wellness, financial health, and the quality of the environment in which all team members work and live.A Culture of Diversity & Inclusion - Our inclusive culture infuses different perspectives that reflect our diverse customers and communities around the world.About WyndhamWyndham Hotels & Resorts is the champion of the everyday traveler.
