Job title: Adjunct Faculty in Real Estate and Human GeographyCompany: Heriot-Watt UniversityJob description: Heriot-Watt University Dubai is currently inviting applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in Real Estate and Human Geography, particularly in real estate valuation, property economics, investment, locational analysis, or property market analysis. These positions will support the undergraduate BA/MA in Real Estate Management and Finance and the postgraduate MSc in Real Estate. Please note that there may not be openings at this time, but applications will be kept on file and reviewed as the need emerges.Roles & Responsibilities:Undertaking teaching and assessment duties within the undergraduate and graduate real estate academic programmes. Support colleagues in delivering courses and other activities to support the University's aims.Support in developing relevant materials in appropriate formats. Contribute to the content, design delivery and quality of teaching and learning in consultation with colleagues and within the international structures and mechanisms established by the University.Mentor and supervise students, providing effective, well-documented, and timely formative and summative feedback. Provide pastoral support, recognising when to refer a student for further support. Play a key role in delivering and supporting an excellent student learning and living experience at HWU.Develop and maintain strong links with business, industry, external organisations, and the education sector.Work collaboratively with colleagues at our Dubai campus and at our UK & other campuses where applicable, and with external networks to exchange information, share learning, and form relationships for future collaboration.The typical time commitment includes contact hours within the classroom, preparation time, assessment & feedback time - all over a 12 to 15-week teaching & assessment semester.Qualifications:PhD or Masters in a relevant fieldAbility to teach either Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate programmes.Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.Previous teaching or training experience is preferredExcellent Communication skills: programmes are delivered in English, so English fluency is essential.Other requirements: Applicants must be in the UAE and on a Resident visa and provide a NO-Objection-Certificate (NOC) from the visa sponsor. UAE Nationals & Golden visa holders do not need to give a NOC.
