We're a team of dedicated people driving this mission by providing better, faster, and cheaper ways to access food through technology.Role OverviewTo function as the Pastry Demi Chef De Parti, to work alongside the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring ordering and stocking. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets Calo's quality standardsLead the pastry team in a timely and efficient mannerWill be in charge of launching the in-house baked goods production processFill in for the section head in planning and directing food preparation when necessaryResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationManage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule, and assess staff's performanceMust be able to clearly communicate tasks to team membersOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriatelyComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with co-workersProduce high-quality plates both design and taste-wiseIdeal CandidateQualificationsMust have had previous experience as a Pastry DCDPMust have a minimum of 4 years of experience within the hospitality and catering industryThe candidate should have a minimum qualification of attending a chefs training course in pastryMust be currently present in KSAMust be a proficient communicator in EnglishKnowledge & CompetencyHas had team-leading experiencesExceptional proven ability in kitchen managementAbility to divide responsibilities and monitor progressOutstanding communication and leadership skillsUp-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processesPersonalityStrong communicatorPleasant personality and ability to lead with empathy and patienceCustomer service mindset
