Faculty Positions in Architectural Engineering (CoE#201123)The Architectural Engineering department at Alfaisal University invites applications for full-time positions. Specific positions and areas of interest include:1. Assistant, Associate or ProfessorThe ideal candidate for the position should demonstrate a proven ability to effectively teach courses in the areas of Architecture, Building Systems and Technologies, and Architectural Practice.Furthermore, the desired candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree and possess a strong track record in research, teaching, and mentoring/advising. The rank at which the candidate will be hired will be determined based on their experience, achievements, and qualifications.It is essential that the candidate contributes positively to fostering a culturally diverse work environment, inclusive of faculty, staff, and students. Active participation in community outreach and service to the department, college, and university is expected.The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses, which may include but are not limited to:Lighting Systems and ApplicationsWorking/Construction DrawingsConstruction ManagementConstruction and Architecture Professional Practice2. Instructor or LecturerThe candidate will have the opportunity to co-teach courses in various areas, including Drafting & Drawing, Architectural Design Studios, Interior Design, Construction Drawings, and Capstone Project.It is crucial that the candidate possesses expertise in architectural design and related fields, strong communication and teaching skills, and a portfolio that showcases previous student work and professional examples.It is essential that the candidate contributes positively to fostering a culturally diverse work environment, inclusive of faculty, staff, and students. Active participation in community outreach and service to the department, college, and university is expected.The desired candidate should hold an MSc degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field, providing them with a solid foundation in the subject matter. Currently, the college offers bachelor's degrees in Architectural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and Software Engineering. These programs are all ABET accredited. In addition, a master's degree in Engineering & Systems Management is being offered in collaboration with the Centre for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology) and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
