Art Engineering Inc. (AEI) is currently seeking a Structural Engineering Team Lead to join our growing team in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will fulfill the role of an Engineer and Team Lead, while being supported to advance in their own professional career. AEI strongly encourages the applications of potential candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, are ambitious, and seeking the next step in their career progression.Primary Responsibilities:Complete structural analyses, calculations, and designs for a variety of projects.Prepare structural drawings and technical reports for projects, while peer reviewing the work of fellow team members.Conduct site inspections and field reviews.Manage communications with contractors, clients, subconsultants, and internal teams throughout projects while strengthening professional relationships.Manage projects to ensure schedule milestones and budget constraints are met.At AEI, you will have the opportunity to work with an energetic and collaborative team. In this position, you will:Work alongside one of our regional Team Leads, all of whom are experienced and licensed professionals.Supervise and support various team members including junior engineers, inspectors, and designers.Report to a company Director that acts as a support to yourself and your fellow Team Leads.At AEI, we value interpersonal skills just as much as technical abilities. In this position, you will:Coordinate with our Strategic Development division to procure new projects.Act as the primary point of contact for clients on projects.Meet with prospects and clients to represent AEI.Minimum Qualifications:4 years of relevant experience in Ontario (ideally with structural rehabilitation, restoration and/or maintenance projects).Knowledge and understanding of relevant local standards and codes (OBC, NBCC, MTO Manuals, etc.).Moderate level of proficiency in AutoCAD.High level of proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.Valid 'G' driver's license and access to personal vehicle for travel to project sites.Professional Engineer Designation (P.Eng) issued by Professional Engineers of Ontario.Benefits of working at AEI:Competitive base salary dependent on specific level of experience.Paid vacation.Performance based bonuses.Flexible working location (hybrid) and hours (following probationary period).RRSP matching program.Regular company social events and networking opportunities.Opportunities to work on diverse project types and scopes.Small-mid size company allowing for more direct collaboration with all levels of staff and varying responsibilities.
