MongoDB Administrator Experience: 2-12 years Location: Remote Contract Duration: 6+ months Job Description: We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a MongoDB Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of OpenShift clusters and MongoDB databases, particularly in supporting critical banking applications. Responsibilities:

  • OpenShift Cluster Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Application Support: Provide application support, updates, and deployments for MongoDB databases and OpenShift clusters.
  • OpenShift Administration: Manage and administer RedHat OpenShift environments, ensuring smooth operation and scalability.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement performance tuning, conduct resource scaling, and manage security updates to ensure high-performance levels.
  • Backup and Restoration: Oversee backup and restoration processes, ensuring data consistency and availability.
  • Query Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize query performance to ensure efficiency.
  • Alert Configuration & Job Scheduling: Set up alerts, schedule jobs, and conduct data consistency checks to prevent system downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and optimizations.
Requirements:
  • Experience with MongoDB: Proven experience in MongoDB administration, including cluster management, performance optimization, and backup/restoration.
  • OpenShift Administration: Hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift management and administration.
  • Cluster Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Expertise in monitoring OpenShift clusters and applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring resource optimization.
  • Security & Updates: Strong knowledge of performing security updates and ensuring the integrity of the environment.
  • Performance Optimization: Ability to monitor and optimize MongoDB queries and manage resource scaling.
  • Backup & Restoration: Experience with backup strategies and restoration procedures for MongoDB databases.
  • Job Scheduling & Alerts: Familiarity with job scheduling, alert configuration, and maintaining data consistency across systems.
