About the Program Anglicare NT’s Money Support Hub provides free and confidential financial assistance to people in Nhulunbuy and surrounding communities. Our staff provide free, culturally informed financial counselling, advocacy, financial literacy and education to individuals, families and groups. We work closely with community leaders and partner organisations. About the Opportunity Based in Nhulunbuy, the Financial Capability Worker is a valuable member of the East Arnhem Money Support Hub. You will play a pivotal role in our team, working collaboratively to support individuals and families through life transitions. Your focus will be on delivering culturally appropriate financial literacy training, both in individual and group settings. By equipping people with essential budgeting skills and fostering sound financial decision-making, you will directly contribute to reducing financial and social exclusion in our community. To be successful in this role you will have:
    • Certificate III or IV in Community Services.
    • Successful completion of designated financial literacy education units or willingness to undertake immediately.
    • Demonstrated case management, client service and/or community work experience.
    • Effective understanding of financial disadvantage and exclusion in Australia and its impact.
    • Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
