At PPG Aerospace Tullamarine, we package sealants and manufacture paints for aerospace industries. As the Equipment & Facility Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the plant, machinery and equipment is maintained and operates at the most efficient, productive level possible whilst complying with all company EHS standards. The successful candidate will undertake repairs and maintenance of buildings and plant and order/maintain spare parts inventory. With the assistance of the Production Supervisor, you will assist with ongoing production line performance and equipment upgrades, and also be responsible for overseeing contractors. This is a role that requires hands-on maintenance work and would suit someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Prior experience with plant and machinery maintenance is preferred. Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor compliance with work systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Capable in carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on properties. This includes hands-on work as well as delegating tasks to contractors.
  • Minimise machine downtime and repetitive equipment failure.
  • Ensure all equipment are available for production.
  • Update and maintain the preventative maintenance program.
  • Responsible for onsite contractors and contractor’s compliance database.
  • In conjunction with the Production Supervisor, you will manage resources, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
  • Always ensure adherence to company EHS processes - your safety is our number one priority.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Industrial equipment maintenance experience (toolmaker, fitter, basic engineering).
  • A good knowledge in planning and scheduling maintenance work.
  • Maintain good relationship with team members and contractors.
  • Knowledge in pneumatic equipment and pumps is an advantage.
