DevOps Engineer | Initial 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) | Remote (occasional travel to Newcastle) Experis have partnered with a well-recognised client in the North looking to recruit for a DevOps Engineers. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support our client’s enterprise-grade software solutions. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes, leveraging your expertise in C#, Azure and other relevant technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for enterprise C# applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software is designed with scalability and operability in mind.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure on Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) to support containerized applications.
  • Configure and manager Azure Service Bus or other messaging services to facilitate communication between distributed systems.
  • Work with Linux-based systems to support cross-platform development and deployment environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability across the development and production environments.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Experience Required:
  • Strong experience in C# programming, with a deep understanding of enterprise-level software design, development and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, or Linux-based environments.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, with experience in automating builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on performance optimization and reliability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with additional Azure services, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, or Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
