Safety and Environment Manager
Job details
Lead, advise, support and promote Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management, while providing awareness, measuring, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe workplace, targeting 0% accidents in the Plant and connected accommodations and Offices.Responsibilities:Lead and manage HSE initiatives within the organization.Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.Conduct safety training and orientation for new and existing staff.Collaborate with technical and non-technical departments to promote a safe work environment.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related Engineering field.Minimum 15 years of experience in the Health, Safety and Environment field within heavy industry (oil & gas, steel, cement, ready mix) or construction, with 5 years at the managerial level.In-depth knowledge of IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA international HSE codes and standards.Professional HSE certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, and/or accreditations from recognized Health and Safety Standards organizations.Audit qualification background and inspection experience with ISO/IOSH/NEBOSH Standards.Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills to lead the HSE team.Excellent training skills to deliver safety training and orientation.Membership in IOSH and/or accredited occupational associations is an asset.About The Company:A leading heavy industry company in Qatar.
