The warehouse engineering manager oversees the design and analysis of operational strategies for various projects within the Kramp group's warehouses with a clear focus on Material Handling Equipment solutions. This includes tasks like process and methods analysis, cost management, capacity improvement, and optimizing routing and shipments. You will also be responsible for implementing these solutions effectively. This is a new role and you will work closely with our experienced Warehouse Engineering Manager who is based in the Netherlands. You will join the Supply Chain Engineering Team and collaborate with different stakeholders from different countries.The roleAs a Warehouse Engineering Manager, you will:Use our own vision to design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design that conforms to organizational standards.Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.Work closely with our supplier, including specifying requirements, challenging their solutions, monitoring the implementation and aftercare including the contact with all the different stakeholders that are involved like manager indirect procurement, legal and local operations teams.Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.Continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.Who are you?For this job we have a couple of requirements:Bachelor's Degree or higher in (Mechanical) Engineering.Initial (3+ years) experience in a relevant work setting, e.g. automated e-commerce warehouses or production, or experience in a consultancy role.Background as a mechanical engineer is considered an asset.Experience with AutoCAD to successfully design systems.Good project management or ambition to increase responsibility in this role.You are an analytical person, conceptually strong and organizationally savvy.Willingness to travel (10% of your time - in Europe).Offer and contactPlease note that this vacancy is open to applicants from all countries and for all Kramp locations.
