POSITION : Order Fulfilment Consultant LOCATION : Modderfontein Duties : The Order Fulfilment Consultant will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating price and delivery, procuring, and expediting goods and services as required and in accordance with company policies and procedures, with experience in the metals fabrication environment. - Loading of jobs onto production schedule
- Selecting of drawings to send to production
- Processing of costing
- Understanding of production scheduling
- Able to read technical drawings
- Liaise with engineering regarding technical matters
- When an order is released, check stock and order any outstanding components
- Ensure timely completion of production goods
- Assist team members/department with additional tasks when load balancing is required
- Attend daily meetings
- Assist technical operations team with product costings
- Work in a team and as an internal supplier within the overall Supply Chain
- Produce and manage production list and backorder reports, providing daily feedback to all relevant departments with respect to orders, costing issues, and changes to the delivery of their goods or services
- Any other tasks specified in pursuit of the Company’s objectives
- Matric
- 5 Years in a Planning/Procurement Environment
- Experience in the metal fabrication environment or pipe fitting industry
- Experience in drawing office would be advantageous
- Experience in scheduling/planning of production orders
- Basic experience in quality requirements and specifications
- Understanding of welding processes
- MS Office proficiency
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Good communication skills
- Assertiveness
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Multi-tasking skills
