Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP) and have a proven track record working on Ashghal projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction costs, contracts, and project management, with a focus on ensuring value for money, profitability, and efficiency.
Your new role, what's involved?
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Analyze and evaluate the cost of various project components and provide accurate financial advice.
Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
Administer contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met and any variations are documented and agreed upon.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, measure completed work, and prepare detailed reports.
Prepare regular financial statements and reports, including cost control and financial forecasting.
Ensure timely and accurate billing, invoicing, and payment processes.
Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including those set by Ashghal and MMUP.
Handle disputes and claims related to contracts, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
Negotiate and settle final accounts.
Maintain comprehensive records of all project costs, contracts, and correspondence.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audit and review purposes.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP) in Qatar.
10 years total experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Proven experience working on Ashghal projects in Qatar.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office, QS software).
Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in Qatar.
