Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Analysis and InterpretationConduct comprehensive laboratory analyses, including hematological, biochemical, immunological, microbiological, and molecular tests on patient samples to aid in diagnosis & monitoring.Critically evaluate and interpret test results, considering clinical context & relevance.Generate accurate, timely, and informative reports for healthcare providers, highlighting critical findings & recommendations.Quality Control and AssuranceDevelop, implement, and maintain rigorous quality control & quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity of test results.Adhere to established laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA).Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions.Collaboration and ConsultationProvide expert consultation to healthcare providers on test selection, result interpretation, and clinical significance.Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and laboratory staff to optimize patient care pathways, ensuring seamless communication.Communicate critical results effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate action.Education and ResearchParticipate in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows & laboratory personnel.Contribute to research projects and initiatives aimed at improving diagnostic techniques, treatments, and patient outcomes.Stay abreast of advancements in clinical pathology, attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.Professional Development and LeadershipFoster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and initiatives.Demonstrate leadership in promoting excellence in clinical pathology.Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & SkillsQualifications (e.g., Education)At least medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited recognized agency.Hold board certification or eligibility in Clinical Pathology from a reputable professional organization.Possess a valid Degree Qualified and QCHP-approved medical practitioner (specialist) certification, ensuring expertise in clinical pathology.Work Experience (e.g., Number of years and field / role)Minimum 5 years GCC experience in clinical pathology in laboratory management.Certificates & TrainingsAny relevant certification or training such as:ASCP certification.CAP accreditation.Laboratory management training.Quality control and quality assurance training.SkillsDiagnostic interpretation.Laboratory management.Clinical Data Analysis.Laboratory Techniques & Procedures.Clinical Data Analysis & Correlation.Location: Qatar
