Job Purpose:To manage all aspects of a dealership selling trucks, buses and spare parts.Key Responsibilities:Processes and governanceDevelop, align and implement a tactical strategy and associated policies and guidelinesDevelop and implement tactical delivery plans and set operational targetsMeasure the delivery of operational plans, realign and improve where requiredImplement corporate governance and compliance policies in area of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure liabilityAdvise on the process to ensure the execution of marketing plans and initiatives while supporting the marketing strategy and organizational objectivesDevelop, implement and maintain relevant advertising campaigns and where possible increase market penetration to meet company objectivesDetermine, create and track performance criteria and establish an evaluation method to measure and improve operational efficiency for the dealershipEnsure business retention through the application of various sales techniques such as negotiations, product comparisons and changing perceptionsFinanceCompile a budget which aligns to delivery plans, monitor and report on variancesDevelop, implement and monitor a cycle of medium term cost improvements for area of accountabilityDrive sales targets and overall profitabilityClient/customerPrepare service delivery excellence plans for internal and external customers and ensure implementationNegotiating deals with customers whilst ensuring profitabilityResolve escalated customer complaints that managers are unable to rectify in order to ensure customer satisfactionDevelop and manage key stakeholder relationships that enable achievement of operational objectivesPeoplePrepare people capacity plans in line with delivery, performance objectives and budget; and ensure implementation for direct reportsDevelop plans to positively influence and manage change by providing interventions and support to enable change implementationBe a member of and make positive contributions to Professional BodiesStakeholder GroupsCreate a positive work climate and culture to energize employees, give meaning to work, minimize work disruption and maximize employee productivityDemonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organizationalQualificationsMatricNational Diplomas and/or Advanced Certificates with NQF Level 05 would be an added advantageRelevant years of Experience10 years and more of sales and marketing experience in commercial vehiclesCompetenciesBusiness and Operations ManagementDeveloping salesFinancial AcumenGood Governance, Ethics and ValuesGood Negotiation SkillsOperations Risk ManagementPlanning and Budgeting abilityPlanning, Management and MeasurementGood product and/or service knowledgeTrust and Integrity
