Join today and build progress with us. The Opportunity Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to make an impact in a dynamic Industrial environment? You'll be based in our Greystone quarry in Launceston. You'll be working Monday to Friday 7:30 - 5:00, where you’ll be crucial to keeping our site’s electrical systems in top shape, machinery such as conveyors, screeners and crushers and much more! As part of our on-site team, you’ll be responsible for the daily maintenance, servicing, and repair of essential production equipment to keep operations safe and running smoothly. You'll play a key role in our maintenance team, with great opportunities for growth and development.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to keep electrical equipment efficient, safe, and compliant, you'll be working on equipment such as drive motors, control panels, sensors, contactors, and relays.
- Take part in exciting project work, including upgrading existing systems like PLCs.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely fixes to minimise downtime.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, organised, and hazard-free.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components, from drive motors to control panels.
- Complete all necessary safety documentation for each maintenance task.
- Carry out lighting installations, from task lighting to high-level floodlights.
- Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on tools and equipment.
- Work on various electrical installations, including wiring buildings and fixed plant equipment.
- Receive guidance from senior team members to build new skills in areas like controls engineering.
- You'll have a deep understanding of safe working practices, and you’re comfortable working with permits and “live working” procedures.
- Your expertise in fault-finding, repair, and working on a wide range of plant equipment allows you to tackle complex challenges with confidence.
- You'll be certified to NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Ideally, you’re certified for working at heights and have experience with equipment like MEWP scissor lifts, so you’re ready for any task that requires a little elevation.
- You'll have solid knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations, you know your way around installation work, cable labelling, and interpreting drawings.
- You'll be comfortable working in a variety of challenging environments, including working outside.
