City Build Recruitment is excited to partner with our client, a forward-thinking architecture firm that specializes in delivering innovative design solutions across major institutional and public sector projects. Our client is searching for passionate and dedicated architects who are keen to learn, grow, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, while consistently meeting project deadlines. This role is ideal for a motivated Intern Architect who is eager to develop their design skills while contributing to the success of large-scale institutional projects. With a hybrid work model, you will have the flexibility to collaborate both remotely and in the office with a talented and dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of architectural concepts, with a focus on institutional projects.
- Work closely with senior architects and design teams to produce detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and project documentation.
- Contribute to client presentations, design reviews, and project meetings, ensuring that all design goals are met.
- Support the preparation of technical documents, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
- Engage in material research and contribute to the integration of sustainable design practices.
- Participate in site visits and field reviews, ensuring the design intent is maintained throughout the construction process.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Progress towards registration with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- 1.5-3+ years of architectural experience, with a strong interest in institutional design. (Having this experience in a firm in Canada is desired)
- A strong portfolio that showcases your design capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A willingness to go above and beyond, balancing learning opportunities with meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential in a hybrid work environment.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices, with LEED accreditation considered an asset.
