The Traffic Management Supervisor supervises work activities of Traffic Management personnel engaged in the movement of WRM pre-positioned cargo via land, air, and sea. Responsible for training, establishing and maintaining effective shipment planning functions. Monitors cargo operations using various logistics tools to ensure In-transit Visibility (ITV) within the Defense Transportation System (DTS). Must be able to complete necessary training courses and certifications. Ensures all shipments comply with the International Trade and Arms Regulation (ITAR) and Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Principal Accountabilities

Schedules work priorities based on day-to-day Traffic Management Operations and various taskers.

Develops work standards; identifies training deficiencies; develops training plans; provides training and supervision for personnel using automated computer programs.

Checks for completeness and accuracy of transportation data.

Properly classifies freight and selects the most efficient mode of shipment.

Prepares all required shipping documents for data input to logistics systems.

Inspects Hazardous Materials to ensure compliance with regulations.

Provides asset visibility and real-time tracking.

Prepares shipping documents and Movement Requests for international and domestic shipments.

Performs Port Handling and Inland Transportation (PHIT) duties.

Processes Export Traffic Release Requests (ETRR) for sealift shipments.

Performs customs clearances and liaises with relevant authorities.

Loads/unloads cargo and performs inspections.

Maintains Technical Orders and submits reports as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Works in various environments and may be required to work outdoors.

Minimum Requirements:

Proficient in personal computers and Microsoft Office.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Knowledge of material handling equipment operations.

Valid driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of three years of experience in Traffic Management or related field.

Experience in cargo loading/unloading and related procedures.

Current HAZMAT Certification or ability to obtain it.

Eligible for US Secret Security Clearance.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and problem detection/reporting.
