BNG Integration Engineer As a BNG Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating Nokia Broadband Network Gateways (BNGs) into our network infrastructure. This will involve configuring, testing, and troubleshooting BNG devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other technical teams to ensure a smooth integration process.
- Configure and deploy Nokia BNG devices according to network requirements.
- Test and troubleshoot BNG devices to identify and resolve issues.
- Work with network engineers to optimize BNG performance.
- Document BNG configurations and test results
- Functional testing: Verify that all BNG features are working as expected, including PPPoE, DHCP, L2TP, and QoS.
- Performance testing: Measure the BNG's capacity and throughput to ensure it can handle the required traffic load.
- Security testing: Assess the BNG's security posture to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Interoperability testing: Verify that the BNG can interoperate with other network devices, such as routers and switches.
- Provide technical support for BNG-related issues.
- Hands-on Protocol
- PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet): Used for user authentication and IP address assignment.
- DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): Used for assigning IP addresses to devices.
- L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol): Used for creating virtual private networks (VPNs).
- QoS (Quality of Service): Used to prioritize different types of traffic.
- RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service): Used for centralized authentication, authorization, and accounting.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP routing, MPLS, and VPNs.
- Experience with Nokia BNG devices.
- Familiarity with network management tools. Nokia NSP will be advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- CCNA or equivalent certification.
