This Estimator will be responsible for evaluating bid specifications and requirements to verify all are covered and prepare a complete estimate for various projects. Estimating will be done for new projects and change orders for existing contracts. Collaborate with others to ensure overall accuracy & assist in pricing material for proposals. This position requires strong math skills, estimating experience in Architectural decorative railings knowledge, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and the ability to multi-task.
- WHAT WE DO
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Understand scope of work to be bid.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
- Create and change orders.
- Create detailed estimates for commercial architectural decorative railings projects.
- Provide customers with accurate information and pricing.
- Perform site visits to evaluate projects.
- Ensure accuracy of estimates and pricing.
- Knowledgeable about fabrication techniques, anchorage, connections, and installation of railings or ornamental metal.
- Familiar with commercial building procedures and adept at reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Construction-related associate's or bachelor's degree is favored.
- Proficiency with takeoff software such as Bluebeam or comparable estimator software.
- Aptitude to adapt to new construction management software as required.
- Stellar communication and client interaction skills are highly sought-after.
- JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience as an Estimator, preferably in the railing or construction industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of fabrication procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of estimating experience in commercial, industrial, public works, construction - preferably in the Architectural Decorative Railings knowledge industry (or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience), in UAE.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Superb organizational and time-management competencies.
- A collaborative individual with leadership qualities.
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or a pertinent field.
- Valid UAE driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
- SCHEDULE:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
