Job Description :Position: Quantity SurveyorLocation: IslamabadCompany: EPCM ConsultantsExperience Level: 03+ YearsPreferred Background: Experience with Government Contractors who has worked with Consultants, preferably NLC, FWO.About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in working with government contractors and consultants, preferably with experience at NLC, FWO, NHA. This role requires an in-depth understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement within the construction industry, specifically for Government Projects.Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of the construction project, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control measures are in place.• Tender Preparation and Evaluation: Manage the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with contractors and suppliers.• Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of contracts, including preparation of bills of quantities, managing contract variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and project delays.• Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor and report on project costs, progress, and any variations to the budget. Prepare monthly cost reports for stakeholders and senior management.• Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process, including the selection of suppliers and subcontractors, negotiation of terms, and management of procurement schedules.• Coordination with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project meets all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, as well as with company policies and procedures.• Value Engineering: Provide input on value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and project objectives.• Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.Benefits:• Competitive salary commensurate with experience.• Professional development opportunities.• Paid time off and flexible work arrangements.• Opportunity to work on prestigious projects with a leading company in the construction industry.Job Type: Full-time
Job Specification :Qualifications and Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.• Proven experience working with government contractors and consultants, preferably with a background at NLC or any other Government Organization.• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tender processes, and cost management.• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
