Develop and implement new initiatives and ideas for the betterment of the daily Monitoring, Management and operations of Network Infrastructure as well as partake in Network Projects.Specifically, you will be responsible to:Resolve network related calls as assigned by service desk in timely routine.
Handle problem escalations and communicate effectively with other Tiers and departments.
Develop or assist in development of service standards and implement operating procedures.
Conduct Network Performance Monitoring for entire Network Infrastructure through smart tools and methods developing security measures, troubleshooting and pro-active maintenance activities.
Ensure availability of network connectivity for all Data Centre servers and applications to meet our designated service up-time standards.
Design, implement and support network and systems projects.
Perform network administrative functions for WAN connectivity, International Sites and Multi-Homing Internet Gateways.
Meet with internal and external clients to setup system connectivity to other machines as required under project guidelines. Also provide professional recommendation for efficient operations Interface with other teams for project and operational activities.
Build up skills to perform Remote diagnosis and resolution of problems for Metro sites and branches.
Develop and Maintain Network Infrastructure Documentation.
Ensure that work area is managed properly.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:Bachelor's degree or preferably Master's Degree in Computer Systems Engineering or related Field. Industry standard certification will be preferred e.g. CCNA, CCNP.
Minimum 3-5 years of technical support experience with network design and support tools.
Understand requirements, develop solutions, follow procedures, and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and management.
Successfully prioritize daily activities and lead/complete projects on schedule.
Ability to work independently, remain organized, demonstrate strong leadership, and possess entrepreneurial skills in a team environment.
Thorough knowledge of network topologies.
Exceptional customer management skills, communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical situations and problems in a constructive and confidence building manner are required.
Understand requirements and successfully prioritize daily activities and lead projects.
Must be able to handle network equipment, configurations, and common network technologies.
