Responsibilities

  1. Installs, repairs, modifies, and opens a variety of locking mechanisms found on doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults. All employees must have proof of US citizenship, a valid state drivers license and be eligible for base access.
  2. Manufacture keys.
  3. Install lock cores.
  4. Re-core and re-pin locks.
  5. Change lock combinations (including safes, GSA containers, electronic locks and entry controls).
  6. Disassembles locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs.
  7. Replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
  8. Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys.
  9. Conduct inspections upon request on vault locks and safe locks to assist in determining if the safe can be certified for the security level it is to be used for.
  10. Maintain key and lock logs for buildings, containers and equipment as outlined in our contract.
  11. Maintain records as outlined in the contract.
  12. Perform preventative carpentry maintenance.
  13. Perform carpentry services to repair, install, and replace buildings and structures and associated components.
  14. Fabrication, installation, and repair of items such as wooden doors, floors, walls, ceilings, exterior structures, windows, cabinets, shelves, handrails, bulletin boards, and other hardware associated with buildings and structures.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
Other requirements:
  1. Work will be primarily indoors but may be outdoors to support various events.
  2. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
  3. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
  4. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
  5. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required.
  6. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.S. interests.
  7. 100% Overseas Assignment.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year additional education and/or experience.
  2. Must be fluent reading and speaking English.
  3. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
Experience:
  1. Must possess current GSA Certified Safe and Vault Technician certification to work on GSA approved containers, vaults, X-09 and X-10 locks, cipher locks, mechanical combination locks, door locks and safes.
Skills:
  1. Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions.
  2. Ability to troubleshoot.
  3. Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a work environment.
