Vulnerability Automation Engineer

Job Title: Vulnerability Automation Engineer Location: Remote (India) Duration: 9+ Months Key Responsibilities:

1. Vulnerability Automation :Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python to enhance the efficiency of vulnerability detection, reporting, and remediation workflows.Use libraries such as Pandas for data analysis and manipulation to streamline vulnerability data handling and reporting.Integrate various vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable , Wiz , and other platforms into automated workflows. Vulnerability Management :Conduct automated vulnerability scans and ensure accurate analysis of results.
2. Work closely with the security team to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, ensuring they are addressed on time.
3. Automate the process of vulnerability data collection, risk assessment, and reporting for internal stakeholders.
4. Process Engineering :Design and optimize vulnerability management processes, introducing automation where possible to reduce manual efforts and improve response times.
5. Collaborate with the cybersecurity and IT teams to improve security workflows and standardize vulnerability management procedures.
6. Tool Integration & Customization :Customize and enhance the use of vulnerability tools like Tenable and Wiz by creating tailored automation scripts and workflows.Build integrations between vulnerability scanning tools and project management tools such as Jira to track and manage security tasks efficiently. Reporting & Documentation :Automate the generation of vulnerability reports, ensuring that the data is accurate, timely, and easily accessible by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Document all automation processes and workflows for knowledge-sharing and auditing purposes.

1. Experience :3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in vulnerability management and automation.
2. Hands-on experience with Tenable , Wiz , and other vulnerability scanning tools.Strong proficiency in Python and Pandas for scripting and data analysis.Experience with Jira for task management and tracking. Skills :Strong background in automating security workflows and vulnerability management processes.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large sets of vulnerability data.
4. Experience in process engineering, with a focus on identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.

• Experience working with cloud environments and security tools (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or other relevant credentials.
