Freelance Journalist

Global MKT Agency is looking for an experienced Remote Freelance Business Journalist for Yogonet, an online business newspaper specialised in the gambling industry (B2B). Our organization is looking for a SENIOR JOURNALIST who has held roles as an editor or sub-editor.

• Working hours : 5 PM to 11 PM (local time in India), six hours per day.
• Monthly compensation: USD 850 (equivalent amount paid in Indian Rupees).
• Language requirement: English.
• This is a remote freelance position, available Monday to Friday.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism
• At least 7/10 years experience as a journalist in online newspapers.
• Proven experience in areas such as politics, business, finance or economics.
• Experience of using CMS to upload news, photos and links, similar to a Wordpress platform.
• Ideal level of Spanish for conversation
• Relevant experience in writing and editing in the English language
• Quick with communication via email and Slack
• Possibility to start inmediatly

• You should be able to complete the application process (a 4-exercise test).

• The SUB-EDITOR will be responsible for editing or rewriting news (press releases or news articles on a daily basis). Estimated: The daily range is from 6 to 12, depending on the volume of information.
• Selection of news items for the homepage and the newsletter, utilizing the CMS.
• Coordinate and conduct occasional interviews via email with business leaders
• Post articles on our social media
• Online search for information (news) as needed.

• The freelancer is required to generate an invoice for each payment for the service provided.
• Payment is via wire transfer
