Your Job Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Production Supervisor to become part of our KES Manufacturing hub in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The position is responsible for managing the production shop and overseeing production flow within the manufacturing facility. You'll be tasked with implementing production and materials plans, all while upholding the highest standards of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Productivity. Our Team As a member of the production team within KES Manufacturing, you will join a dedicated group committed to improving production efficiency and implementing lean manufacturing practices.   • Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are followed on the shop floor.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the production team.
  • Develop and execute daily production schedules based on capacity, resources, and priorities.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability.
  • Adjust plans and schedules in response to demand fluctuations or unforeseen challenges.
  • Apply lean manufacturing tools and techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and visual management, to streamline production processes.
  • Lead waste-reduction initiatives and actively involve team members in identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track lean project success and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor equipment and labour utilization rates, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement and manage downtime reduction initiatives and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Utilize productivity metrics to track, report, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coach and train production staff on lean principles and tools, fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide ongoing support and development to team members to help them embrace lean practices.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts or issues within the team effectively.
  • Set and maintain productivity standards for the shop floor, ensuring quality targets are met.
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure standards are consistently maintained and improved.
  • Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize impact on output.
  • Lead the team in problem-solving activities, utilizing root cause analysis and lean problem-solving methods.
  • Make quick, data-driven decisions to maintain smooth operations.
  • Prepare and submit production reports, tracking productivity, quality, and any deviations from targets.
  • Hold self and team accountable for achieving daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
  • Promote transparency and accountability within the team to ensure consistent performance.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Exposure to supervisory role within manufacturing with a focus on lean manufacturing.
  • English Fluency, Professional level.
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools and techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and general operating system computer skills, including AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear and concise information exchange with co-workers, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Team player willing to cooperate and consider input from others.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings and process prints.
  • Analytical skills to identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization.
  • Strong manufacturing and materials planning skills.
