About the Role

As a Lead Fleet Supply Chain Officer, you will serve as a senior member of the Component Rotables and Repair Team and will be responsible for a variety of key functions in support of Components Maintenance, such as for identifying and leading component repair improvement initiatives and working with key stakeholders to develop, maintain and communicate the performance.

Other key responsibilities are:

Work with Supply Chain Manager to define team's strategy and implement an effective and lean repair management process.

Manage the component repair cycle ensuring high component availability for Qatar Airways by ensuring that all SER parts are actioned within 1 day and Non-SER within 3 days.

Manage and follow up with Supply Chain Officer to expedite repairs to be returned as per the agreed TAT defined in SSC and PSAA.

Drive continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues including training of new staff to deliver the teams KPIs such as SDR's not to exceed above 10 days, overdue RO's not exceed by 5% and invoice to be approved before the due date.

Investigate TORs/MORs/ASRs and recommend corrective measures to avoid reoccurrences.

Actively work with the on MDD's / critical spares and source for alternate options to ensure that all MDD's are catered before the expiry date.

As required, consult and liaise with the aircraft/component manufacturer and repair agencies regarding technical data to resolve or clarify issues related to the parts used during repairs of aircraft parts, tooling and other materials.

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

QualificationsAbout You

Dynamic and competent candidate to join theSupply Chain Departmentmust possess the following:

Qualification of High School, Bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential.

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Degree in Aeronautics/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical (or related fields).

4+ years of job-related experience.

Job Specific Skills

Well versed on all facets of repair functions with very good understanding of Supply chain concepts related to component management in an Airline/MRO environment and good negotiating skills.

Ability to lead and provide directions to team of repair experts, set benchmarks for component repair TAT, evaluate repair findings and manage workflows.

Strong Knowledge of MS-Office, MS SharePoint.

Excellent command of English language.

Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
