In Saudi Arabia, SYSTRA has been ever present for more than 20 years and continues to expand and play its part in helping the Kingdom achieve its 2030 vision. With 400+ employees SYSTRA is involved in many of the Kingdoms iconic projects. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Proposals/Bid Lead to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a Proposals/Bid Lead , you will play a crucial role in leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals for transportation infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Proposal Coordination: Manage the entire proposal development process, from initial request for proposals (RFP) to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, designers, and other technical specialists, to develop compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Proposal Strategy: Collaborate with business development, technical, and management teams to develop winning proposal strategies, including positioning, themes, and differentiation strategies.
  • Content Development: Oversee the development of proposal content, including executive summaries, technical approaches, project schedules, staffing plans, and cost estimates.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of proposal content to ensure accuracy, clarity, compliance, and alignment with client needs and evaluation criteria.
  • Client Engagement: Interface with clients to clarify requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment between proposal offerings and client expectations.
  • Proposal Process Improvement: Continuously improve proposal development processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client priorities to inform proposal development strategies and approaches.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with proposal development, including technical, contractual, and financial risks.
  • Knowledge Management: Capture and disseminate lessons learned from past proposals to inform future proposal development efforts.

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Arabic language an advantage
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the transportation or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple proposals concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively .
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective proposal strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal development software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Microsoft SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and regulations in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
